Big Tymers fans went bananas earlier this year when Cash Money co-founder Birdman confirmed that he would be recording a new Big Tymers LP without original member Mannie Fresh, but thankfully plans have recently shifted.
On Wednesday (July 24), Baby told RapFix Live’s Sway Calloway that he and Fresh plan to reunite after all – the duo will hit the studio in the next week or two.
“I’ve been talking to Fresh a lot. We talk every other day, we been talking about doing music; so matter of fact we gonna get in,” Birdman announced.
Birdman is currently in New York promoting the release of his new compilation album, Rich Gang, which hit stores on Tuesday (July 30). The album features contributions from Birdman, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Rick Ross, Future, R. Kelly and Chris Brown. While Rich Gang is the project that Birdman is focused on at the moment, he definitely has an eye toward the future.
It’s been a decade since the release of Big Tymers’ last album, Big Money Heavyweight (2003).
