Rapper Lupe Fiasco is being sued by the wife of convicted drug kingpin Charles Patton.
The Chicago rapper has been accused of moving around more than 9 million dollars into different bank accounts for Patton – the leader of a Chicago herion drug ring who is currently serving a 44-year prison sentence – in an attempt to prevent Patton’s soon-to-be ex-wife, Inita Patton, from receiving money in their pending divorce.
According to TMZ, Inita claims that she researched where the money went and discovered that Lupe Fiasco conspired with her husband to keep the money away from her.
Lupe Fiasco’s lawyer is denying the claim, saying the allegations are “baseless and will be proven false at trial . . . there are no secret accounts and no illicit instructions.”
