Lorde premiered her new song with electronic music duo Disclosure titled “Magnets” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show on Apple Music.
The track will be on Disclosure’s new LP, Caracal, which is set to drop Friday, September 25th. Other artists featured on the album include Sam Smith, Miguel, and the Weeknd.
Lorde penned “Magnets” with Howard and Guy Lawrence, the brothers who make up Disclosure.
“The song is about the moment you’re about to do something wrong and you’re not in your right mind because you’re blinded by how badly you want to do whatever it is,” Lorde said to Lowe. “And sometimes you’re coerced by someone, ‘C’mon let’s do it you’ll enjoy it, just let go,’ and sometimes you’re doing the coercing.”
