Weezy Finally Released from Hospital

Update (3/19/13):  Young Money’s Mack Maine has revealed that Lil Wayne has been released from Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.  The rapper is feeling better but is still feeling weak.  The associate of Weezy tweeted the hospital thanking them for their hard work and added  “God is great.”

There are reports that Lil Wayne’s condition has stabilized after suffering seizures after a suspected codeine overdose in Los Angeles.  The 30-year-old rapper had been in the intensive care unit at Cedars-Sinai hospital since Wednesday and has now been transferred to a standard hospital room.

According to TMZ, Weezy’s stomach was pumped at least three times during his stay in ICU.  Weezy’s mother, Birdman, Nicki Minaj, Drake and Chris Paul are all among the friends and family that have visited the rapper at the hospital.

While it has not been confirmed codeine (aka. Purple Drank) is the cause of Weezy’s medical problems, it is an extremely popular, lethal drug used in the hip hop scene.   The drug has been found in the autopsy reports of the late Pimp C, Chris Penn and Elvis Presley.

Hopefully this medical scare will straighten out Lil Wayne so he’ll be able to record new music for decades to come.
