Sightseeing at the historic Hearst Castle in San Simeon, California is a little more interesting this week as tourists get to see Lady Gaga’s dancers and crew members take over the mansion to shoot a music video on site.
Lady Gaga is filming a music video this week at the castle’s indoor blue-and-gold tiled Roman Pool and at the iconic outdoor Neptune Pool. Filming at the historic site is extremely rare, but on Tuesday crew members were seen carrying large inflatable plastic swans, fake flowers, and a giant plaster seashell.
Hearst Castle was a famous estate built by newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst and is now both a national and state historical monument in California. Lady Gaga will be donating $250,000 to the Hearst Castle foundation, as well as to underwriting a $25,000 water supply study and paying special fees. Gaga will also film a water conservation public service announcement in addition to a short feature on the castle.
Lady Gaga is directing the music video in collaboration with filmmakers Nicole Ehrlich and Andrew Listermann.
