Lady Antebellum has decided to postpone their “Take Me Downtown” tour until 2014, the trio announced via their website.
The tour was originally scheduled to begin Nov. 8 in Omaha, Nebraska. Now, the band is now set to begin its 60-plus city tour in Peoria, Illinois on Jan. 10. and is expected to conclude in May, although not all the tour dates have been confirmed yet.
Bandmates Hillary Scott, Charles Kelley, and Dave Haywood noted on their website that they are postponing the tour due to events and performances surrounding the release of the deluxe version of their latest album, Compass, which will be released on November 12.
“To accommodate the new release and in order to give you guys the best show possible, we’ve had to move things around on our tour schedule,” the band stated.
Country artists Kip Moore and Kacey Musgraves will still be joining Lady Antebllum on the tour, as initially announced.
Lately, the country-music trio has been taking a break from performing since co-lead singer Hillary Scott gave birth to a daughter earlier this summer.
We hope you are loving “Compass” as much as we are. We’re really excited about the Deluxe version of GOLDEN coming out in November and all the events and performances we’ll be doing around its release, but we’re most excited about getting to play this new music live for you!
