Kid Cudi Drops Surprise Album ‘Satellite Flight’
Rapper Kid Cudi provided the ultimate surprise Tuesday morning when he suddenly released his fourth studio album, Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon. The Atlanta-rapper had been dropping hints of the album’s release for a week, but fans were still completely shocked when he released the LP on iTunes at midnight on Tuesday (Feb. 25).
“Time to make the world stand still,” the 30-year-old rapper wrote on Twitter late Monday evening, shortly before providing a link to purchase the album on iTunes. After releasing the album, Cudi headed over to Twitter to share how excited he was for his fans to hear his new music.

While Satellite Flight was originally announced to be an EP prelude to the forthcoming third installment of his “Man on the Moon” series, the project transformed into a full-length album packed with 11 tracks. Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon is currently available only through digital retailers, with a physical copy expected to be available soon.
