Kesha Drops Sexual Abuse Lawsuit Against Dr. Luke

After a two-year legal battle, pop star Kesha has filed to drop her sexual abuse lawsuit against producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald.

The singer revealed that she wants to focus on her music career and release new music, by providing 28 new songs to her record label.

“Kesha has dismissed her California action without prejudice while she pursues her appeal and other legal claims in the New York courts,” the pop star’s counsel, Daniel Petrocelli, said in an official statement. “Kesha is focused on getting back to work and has delivered 28 new songs to the record label. We have conveyed to Sony and the label Kesha’s strong desire to release her next album and single as soon as possible.”

Kesha has not released new music since her last album, Warrior, in 2012. Two years later in 2014, she sued Dr. Luke for sexual abuse.
