Ken Griffey Jr. Reprises 1989 Rookie Card Look in New Macklemore Video

Baseball legend Ken Griffey Jr. makes an appearance in Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s latest music video for their new single “Downtown” and even recreates the look from his 1989 Upper Deck rookie card.

Macklemore, a rapper who hails from Seattle, is a fan of Griffey and the Seattle Mariners, which was made evident in his music video for “My Oh My” with Ryan Lewis back in 2011.

In “Downtown,” Griffey appears at the 1:43 mark, in which he catches a flying fish at Pike Place Market. He then rolls by on a motorcycle at the 4:01 mark.

The video was filmed back in July and shows Macklemore and Lewis dancing through the streets of Spokane, Washington. It also features artists Grandmaster Melle Mel and Kool Moe Dee.
