RCA Records has announced that Kelly Clarkson will begin her 2012 North American tour in mid-January.
Clarkson’s latest album, Stronger, was released on October 21st and charted at #2 on the US Billboard 200 Album Chart thanks to her hit single “Mr. Know It All”.
Winner of the inaugural season of American Idol, Kelly has become a dominate force in the music industry. In 2002 Clarkson broke The Beatle’s record for the biggest leap to number one, from 52, in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 chart with her debut single “A Moment Like This”. She would go on to sell 12 million copies of her sophomore album Breakaway and break her own record for the biggest leap to number one with her hit single “My Life Would Suck Without You”, moving from her debut at #97 to #1 the following week.
Now Kelly Clarkson is back at it again with her fifth studio album Stronger. The first single off the album, “Mr. Know It All”, became Clarkson’s second highest debut at #18 and her ninth top 10 single.
To follow up on the success of Stronger and to further promote her album, Kelly will begin her “Stronger North American Tour” on January 13, 2012 in Mashantucket, CT. The four month tour will travel through 31 cities in 18 states throughout the United States and Canada.
