Katy Perry, Russell Brand To Divorce

Here comes another chapter in superstar divorce. Today’s edition comes from the lovey couple of Katy Perry and Russell Brand.

The couple met at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards and were engaged shortly thereafter in January of 2010. The two were married in October 2010 at a resort inside a tiger reserve in India.

There were recent reports of the two making separate appearances sans wedding bands.

Brand made it official today releasing a statement saying, “Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I’ll always adore her and I know we’ll remain friends.” The statement offered no other details.

Perry’s representatives did not issue a statement.

In divorce papers filed Friday in Los Angeles Superior Court cited the “infamous” irreconcilable differences.
