The dream continues today, with pop star Katy Perry finally releasing her highly anticipated fourth studio album, Prism. We’ve been chatting about the record since the 28-year-old singer dished out the album’s leading single, the self-empowering “Roar,” back in August of this year.
It’s been a lengthy three years since we’ve been hit with a Perry record. The “I Kissed A Girl” singer’s third studio album, Teenage Dream, was released way back in August of 2010. The album featured a handful of Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles, including “California Girls”, “Teenage Dream”, “Firework”, “E.T.”, and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)”.
With Prism, Perry surprises listeners, straying from her typical tune, giving us a retro sound with “Walking on Air,” and hip-hop with “This Is How We Do.” The pop blockbuster also features a dances tracks such as “Birthday,” and ballads like “Unconditionally.” Prism is definitely a variety pack.
