Mariah Carey must be one pissed off American Idol judge.
TMZ is reporting that “Idol” producers offered Katy Perry $20 million to fill the empty judging seat on the show. Surprisingly, she said no!
Sources close to the production told TMZ that “Idol” had been pursuing the pop star for weeks, with an initial offer of $18 million. Once the $18 million was rejected, the producers upped the ante to $20 million. Still, the answer was no.
According to TMZ’s sources, Katy Perry made it very clear that money was not an issue, rather she did not see the opportunity as the right career move.
