27-year old Katy Perry will be taking a break from her career to have time to heal from her divorce from comedian Russel Brand.
It’s less than just two weeks away until her new movie ‘Katy Perry:Part of Me’ premieres in theaters, Miss Perry wants to take a break from music once her movie releases so she can recover from the breakdown of her 14-month marriage with Russel Brand.
Katy was doing a world tour during their marriage which was apart of one of many reasons of the split with Brand. “I need to let my heart heal” said Perry now that the tour is over ,but she doesn’t regret her relationship with Russel as she is currently dating guitarist Robert Aykroyd from Florence + the Machine.
Katy said the divorce taught her a super valuable lesson ,”I could not buy this lesson” and that she will apply it to her life. “Its really good material for my songs” Katy also mentioned , but said she wasn’t going to hide her divorce from her fans where they will get a glimpse of Perry’s perspective in her movie ‘Part Of Me’. She was obligated about opening up that part of her personal life in the movie, but ultimately wanted to be honest about her family, divorce, obstacles and her belief system which the whole movie is based on. She does not want to hide anything.
‘Katy Perry:Part Of Me’ opens in theaters July 5th.
