On Friday, Kanye West released a new video for his single titled “Famous” at a promotional event in the Los Angeles Forum.
The “Life of Pablo” rapper drew inspiration from realist painter Vincent Desiderio’s 2008 mural “Sleep.” In regards to the nudity, he told Vanity Fair, “We were very careful with shots that had [something] sexual to take them out.”
The NSFW music video features a nude West in bed with images of 11 other famous people, which include: wife Kim Kardashian West, former President George W. Bush, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Taylor Swift, Ray J (West’s wife’s ex-boyfriend), Amber Rose (West’s former girlfriend), transgender activist Caitlyn Jenner and comedian Bill Cosby.
West, who famously criticized Bush on national TV after 2005’s Hurricane Katrina, told the magazine, “Maybe in some alternative universe me and George Bush could have been friends. I could have been his O.J. Simpson black friend on the golf course.”
