Kanye West Demands Apple To Buy Tidal
On Saturday (July 30th), Kanye West took to social media to demand that Apple CEO Tim Cook make a deal with rapper Jay Z for his streaming service Tidal.

“This Tidal Apple beef is f—king up the music game,” West wrote. “I need Tim Cook Jay Z Dez Jimmy Larry me and Drake Scooter on the phone or in a room this week!!!”
The tweets confirm reports that Apple is in negotiations to acquire Tidal. West continued his rant, writing, “F—k all this d—k swinging contest. We all gon be dead in 100 Years. Let the kids have the music.”
Apple, who has its own streaming music subscription with Apple Music, garnered over 15 million subscribers, whereas Tidal’s last count has reached over 4 million subscribers – relying on its exclusive deals with artists. Spotify remains the largest service with 30 million subscribers.
