Josh Groban released his sixth studio album All That Echoes today. His last album, Illuminations, was all about breakup songs, but this time he’s decided to take the same concept with a different approach.
“I’m in a different place, different mindset and the same thing goes — but I wanted the record to feel more energetic, more dynamic, more positive, more rhythmic and uplifting,” he said.
To change things up Groban is working with Warner Bros. Records chairman and Green Day producer Rob Cavallo instead of Hollywood mega-producer Rick Rubin. According to Groban, Rob was a great change of pace. On the album Groban covers Stevie Wonder’s “I Believe (When I Fall in Love It Will Be Forever)” and calls it “truly genuine”.
Adding to his music career resume in the upcoming CollegeHumor indie comedy “Coffee Town”, Groban will be starring as a failed rock band member singing about relationships while working as a barista.
All That Echoes is now available online and in stores nationwide.
