When the Jonas Brothers cancelled their North America tour on October 9th, rumors speculated that the boy band could possibly be breaking up. Since the cancellation of their tour, things have only gotten worse for the brothers. On October 16th the group decided to delete their twitter account, leading fans to believe the band has officially broken up.
The Jonas Brothers – made up of siblings Kevin, Joe and Nick said the cancellation of the tour was due to a “deep rift within the band” over “a big disagreement over their music direction,” Jesse Derris, a spokesperson for the group, told the media.
A day before the trio cancelled their tour, the Jonas Brothers did an interview with Minnesota radio station KDWB, where the station reported that the three seemed “a little tense.” When asked about their previous hiatus from 2010- 2012, Joe said they needed time apart to pursue their own interest.
But don’t worry fans! According to Derris, ”It’s not a personal fight, it’s about the music. They are brothers, they love each other. Yes, they are still speaking.”
Recently, rumors have been spreading that the reason behind tour’s cancellation and deletion of their Twitter account was due to Joe Jonas’ alleged heroin addiction. While the 24 year old was seen with Mike Bayar, CEO and manager of Cast Recovery, the rumors are said to be false.
“The drug rumors are all a bunch of B.S,” a source told Hollywood Life. “The band is still meeting to try and work out their issues.”
