J.Cole’s ‘Born Sinner’ Jumps to No.1 on Billboard 200 Chart

After competing against rappers such as Kanye West and Wale, J.Cole’s sophomore album, Born Sinner, now reigns at the #1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart.

The Roc Nation rapper’s album spent its first two weeks on the chart at No.2, first behind Kanye West’s Yeezus, and then in the wake of Wale’s The Gifted a week later. Albums rarely climb to the No.1 spot, as opposed to debuting at No.1, but in the Born Sinner’s third week on the charts it managed to do so.

Cole thanked his fans for all their support by tweeting, “3 weeks later. #1 Album in the country. Born Sinner. Thank You.”
