Is A New Radiohead Album on the Way?

Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood has confirmed that the band will be “meeting up at the end of the summer” to “make a plan” for their ninth studio album.

Since the release of the group’s previous LP, The King of Limbs, which was released early in 2011, the ‘”Karma Police” hitmakers have been focusing on solo projects. With Greenwood working on the score of Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film “Inherent Vice” and frontman Thom Yorke busy touring with his supergroup Atoms For Peace, plans for “The King of Limbs” follow-up were left “up in the air” and comments about its progress remained vague. With Thom’s return from touring, Radiohead are heading back into the studio to record new material.

No specific details regarding the band’s next album have been announced. ‘

‘Well we’re meeting up at the end of the summer, and we’ll make a plan,” said guitarist Greenwood in an interview with Nashville Cream. “But, you know, we’re a slow-moving animal, always have been. I guess we’ll decide then what we do next.” After the new record is released, the band intends to embark on a tour.

Radiohead released their debut single “Creep” back in 1992. Watch the music video for the single which helped launch the English rock band’s career below:
