American Idol Season 12 winner Candice Glover has announced that she will be releasing her debut album, Music Speaks, on July 16th. Glover announced the news this morning during an interview with Dave Morales on the FOX 26 morning news in Houston, TX.
She is the first female contestant to win American Idol since Jordin Sparks won the title during Season 6 in 2007. The 23-year-old singer beat Texas native Kree Harrison on Thursday night’s Idol finale.
Glover has signed with 19 Recordings/Interscope Records and will release her debut album on July 16th. Music Speaks will feature her debut single “I Am Beautiful” and is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.
This summer Glover will take to the road with the Top 10 Idol contestants on the “American Idol Tour” beginning June 29th in St. Louis, MO. She will also be making guest appearances on several national television shows including The Tonight Show With Jay Leno and Live! With Kelly & Michael.
