The President of the United States isn’t the only individual the Secret Service is protecting.
A Secret Service agent just might help prevent Chris Brown from going to prison after the 24-year-old singer was arrested on assault charges for allegedly punching a man outside of a Washington D.C. hotel earlier this week.
The unidentified man and a friend were trying to “photobomb” a picture Brown was taking with two women when Brown allegedly turned and punched the individual. Now, a witness to the fight claims he heard the victim tell a police officer that Brown didn’t hit him.
The police officer claims that he never spoke with the victim, but a Secret Service agent, who was on duty near the White House, says he heard the victim tell police that Brown didn’t hit him.
Brown is still on probation for assaulting Rihanna back in February 2009. His latest arrest could violate his probation, resulting in a four-year prison sentence. However, if the federal agent decides to testify in Brown’s defense, the prosecutors may drop the misdemeanor-assault case.
