Hollywood Music in Media Awards Winners

Multi Grammy-winners Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell took home the greatest trophy of the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, with “No Time to Die” (from the latest James Bond movie of the same name) winning Song – Feature Film on Wednesday.

Two-time Academy Award nominee Nicholas Britell was awarded the Score – Feature Film trophy for Don’t Look Up. Apple TV+’s CODA was the only film to win multiple awards: Song – Independent Film for “Beyond the Shore” and Song – Onscreen Performance for Emilia Jones’ “Both Sides Now” performance.

As usual, the 2021 HMMAs had big names of the music industry winning awards. Famous composer winners include Marco Beltrami, Mychael Danna, Alberto Iglesias, Rachel Portman and Hans Zimmer. When it comes to songwriters, winners included Savan Kotecha, Adam Levine and Rufus Wainwright. Worldly-known names such as Beyoncé, Bono, Kid Cudi, Ariana Grande, Jay-Z and U2 were all nominated for awards but ended up empty-handed.

The Hollywood Music in Media Awards honors original music, including their composers, songwriters, music supervisors and filmmakers for contributing to essentially all forms of visual media known to man (film, television, video games, documentaries, trailers, advertisements, etc.). The award show has historically provided a sneak peek at the winners of the upcoming, more popular award shows, such as the Oscars, Golden Globes, Grammys and Emmys.
