HBO Debuts Trailer For Beyonce and Jay Z’s Concert Documentary
With the On The Run Tour coming to an end, HBO has revealed a trailer to recap the entire Beyonce and Jay Z concert experience.
“This is a major musical event that belongs on HBO,” said HBO programming president Michael Lombardo. “It’s going to be a night to remember.”
A few weeks back, the network shared a mini montage of the documentary on Instagram, writing, “ON THE RUN TOUR: BEYONCÉ AND JAY Z debuts September 20, only on HBO. #OnTheRunHBO.”
The full trailer commences in black and white reminiscing to the 60s era, as the leading lady serenades her husband, who is seated on a chair and smoking, with her cover of Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang (My Baby Shot me Down).” Suddenly, the preview springs forward to the present time, with concert footages of the energetic and sold-out arena shows.
Beyonce and Jay Z end their North American tour on August 6th in California, and will then head to Paris, France to perform at the Stade de France for two nights. The musical duo is planning to tape their two international shows on September 12th and 13th specifically for their upcoming concert special.
On The Run Tour: Beyonce and Jay Z debuts September 20th at 8 p.m. CST on HBO.
