Last night Green Day kicked off their first tour since leader singer Billie Joe Armstrong’s return from rehab. The band performed a two hour concert in front of a sold-out audience of over 2,000 people at the Fox Theater in Ponoma, California.
Green Day is playing smaller venues at the moment as part of a “mini-tour” to help them get ready for the arenas full of fans they will begin playing to on March 28th in Rosemont, IL. The four date “mini-tour” stops in Ponomo, CA, Tempe, AZ, El Paso, TX and ends at SXSW in Austin, TX.
The band’s upcoming world tour will have them performing their hits “American Idiot”, ” Boulevard of Broken Dreams”, “Wake Me Up When September Ends”, and “Know Your Enemy” throughout North America and Europe until July.
