Until Billie Joel Armstrong (lead singer of Green Day) makes a full recovery in a drug rehabilitation facility, the band has decided to cancel the remaining tour dates for 2012. Green Day’s January and February 2013 concerts will be postponed until a future date.
After making a scene on stage at the iHeartMusic Festival in Las Vegas last September, Billie Joe Armstrong was enrolled into a drug rehabilitation facility. The band stated that its primary concern for Billie Joe is his health, which he is reportedly doing well with treatment.
While fans might be disappointed of the cancellation, there is a silver lining. The band announced that the third LP to a three part trilogy will be released a month earlier.
“¡Tre!” was to be released mid-January of 2013 and is now scheduled for release on December 11 of this year. The first album “¡Uno!” was released on September 25 and the second LP “¡Dos!” will be released on November 13.
