Since the release of Google’s Explorer Edition of Google Glass smart glasses, it has been trying to prove its usefulness in all walks of life. The glasses that can translate your voice, answer without having to ask, and act as a GPS, is now expanding into music.
With a command as simple as, “Okay Glass, listen to” along with the name of the artist, playlist or song title, users of the $1,500 wearable piece of technology will be able to access music from their Google Play Music accounts, Google’s version of Spotify.
For now, Google Glass’s music feature is only compatible with Google Play Music, but it is expected that third-party companies will introduce apps after Google releases the official software for Glass.
Google also announced the release of the new Google Glass stereo ear buds. The lightweight ear buds will be available later this month for $85.
