Glee’s Darren Criss Announces First Solo Tour

Glee star Darren Criss is hitting the road this summer in support of his upcoming debut album LISTEN UP.  The 16-city tour kicks off on May 29th in Criss’s hometown of San Francisco before traveling across the United States and making a stop in Canada.

“I couldn’t think of a better way to spend the summer than being on the road and doing live shows,” the Glee star announce in a statement.  “I wanted to do something bigger than what I’ve done before — more cities and new music. It’s a real opportunity for me to connect with all the people who’ve supported me through the years, as well as a chance to get new folks excited. It’s gonna be a party for everyone!”

In 2009 Criss self-released the EP Human and reached #17 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart.  It has sold over 27,000 copies in the United States to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Pre-sale tickets for the tour go on sale April 25 at 9:00 AM on Darren Criss’s  Facebook page.  General tickets go on sale April 27 at  9:00 AM.
