NEW YORK – “American Idol” season seven winner David Cook is embarking on a co-headlining tour with singer-songwriter Gavin DeGraw, Billboard reported Tuesday.
The 22-city tour is scheduled to kick off Oct. 9 in State College, Pa., and end Nov. 9 in Greenville, S.C. Cook and DeGraw tour stops in Texas include Houston on Oct. 29, Austin on Oct. 30, and Grand Prairie on Nov. 1.
The trek will mark DeGraw’s first time back on stage since an August incident in which he was viciously beaten by a pack of attackers in New York City and then hit by a taxi as he stumbled away from the scene in search of a hospital .
He suffered a concussion and was forced to cancel a pair of shows scheduled for the weekend after the attack. He said he could barely remember being attacked, writing on Twitter, “Honestly, I don’t remember much. I only know I can recover from here.”
Cook released his second CD ‘This Loud Morning’ on June 28 .
