Fergie Releases First Single In Six Years
Fergie made an announcement to her fans on Twitter Sunday night by posting a picture of herself in the recording studio with producer DJ Mustard tweeting “R u ready 4 this? #LALOVE“ with an iTunes link to her new track.
The 39-year-old Black Eyed Peas singer had hinted at the iHeart Music Festival last weekend that new music was on the way saying, “All these amazing things are happening. It’s good vibes. We’re sending L.A. love throughout the world. L.A. Love movement.”
Fergie’s new track, called “L.A. Love (La La),” is her first solo single in six years. “L.A. Love (La La)” showcases her love for the city of Los Angeles by singing, “Every city, every state, every country you know all around the globe. Every city, every state, every country you know this is how it go.”
It has been eight years since her debut album The Dutchess was released back in 2006,. The album featured the hit singles “London Bridge,” “Fergalicious,” “Glamorous” and “Clumsy.”
“L.A. Love (La La)” will be the lead single from her upcoming untitled sophomore album, which does not yet have a release date.
