Fall Out Boy Coming To A City Near You!

Pete Wentz, Patrick Stump and the guys in Fall Out Boy are back with a new album and tour after deciding to take an indefinite hiatus in November 2009.  At the time Pete Wentz blamed his high-profile relationship with Ashlee Simpson as one of the main for the break.

“My biggest personal reason for taking a break is that I feel my name has become a hindrance for the band,” Wentz commented in a 2009 interview with Kerrang! Magazine.  “I think the world needs a little less Pete Wentz. A lot of people think Fall Out Boy is me. But it’s the four of us.

Now the band will be releasing their first album since 2008’s Folie a Deux next month.  Their fifth studio album titled Save Rock and Roll goes on sale April 15th and includes features by Elton John, Courtney Love and Big Sean.  The album’s lead single “My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)” debuted at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it was released on February 4th.  The album’s follow-up single “The Phoenix” was released earlier this week.

In support of their new album Save Rock and Roll Fall Out Boy has planned a sixteen date arena tour that begins this fall.  The band is currently on  their worldwide Spring/Summer tour with dates throughout North America, Europe and Southeast Asia.

Tickets for Fall Out Boy’s US Arena tour goes on sale April 5th & 6th.
