‘Duck Dynasty’ Debuts Musical in Las Vegas

A&E’s hit reality show Duck Dynasty, featuring the famous Robertson family, is headed to Vegas!

The new musical, Duck Commander, premiered at the Crown Theater at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on Wednesday. It is based off of the best-seller written by CEO Willie and his wife Korie Robertson. The Duck Commander Family: How Faith, Family, and Ducks Built a Dynasty illustrates the family’s journey from southern business owners to America’s “favorite rednecks.”

“It’s emotional at times,” said Willie in an interview with FOX411. “I was crying watching it because you just think about if something were to happen differently, then none of this would have happened.”

The 90-minute musical includes a soundtrack consisting of country, rock, gospel and pop. Tony Award-nominated director Jeff Calhoun (High School Musical and High School Musical 2) led the show, with a cast filled with Broadway veterans.
