Following the disbandment of the Jonas Brothers last October, Nick Jonas is moving on to the next phase of his music career. The youngest JoBro is gearing up for the release of his first solo album and it’s coming out this Fall!
Nick has already offered an intriguing preview of the forthcoming album with the release of his brand-new single “Chains,” an R&B track produced by Jason Evigan. The song offers a sound that’s distinctly different from the Jonas Brothers’ music, as well as Nick’s music with the Administration. It’s sound is comparable to the music of R&B artist Miguel.
Although Nick didn’t write “Chains,” the 21-year-old artist says, “I found my way to connect to the song. I found it was really true and real. For me, it embodies that feeling of being trapped in a love that is kind of doomed.”
The as-yet-untitled album will feature “Chains,” as well as a collaboration with longtime pal Demi Lovato. “We did one for my record,” said Nick about the untitled song. “It’s a great song that we both love… Her voice is just amazing on it. She’s the real deal. It’s the perfect fit for this record.”
Watch out for the Jonas-Lovato collaboration, Nick’s new album due out this Fall, and the tour to follow.
