David Crosby Undergoes Heart Surgery
Rocker David Crosby has revealed that late last Friday he underwent heart surgery, causing him to postpone his sold-out shows in California that were set to take place this month.
Crosby, 72, had a cardiac catheterization and angiogram last week after a routine cardiac stress test showed that he had a 90% blocked coronary artery. The singer did not have a heart attack, but if he did not have the procedure done, it would have led to a heart attack.
“I am very glad that I listened to my doctors and my family,” Crosby said in a statement. “It seems I am once again a very lucky man.”
Crosby is expected to make a full recovery and will postpone his California concerts to April. “I’m sorry to have to move the dates,” he added. “But I promise the music will be good when we do play them.”
His tour with Crosby, Stills and Nash is still set to kickoff March 4 in Richmond, VA.
