CMT will be helping to celebrate the College Football Playoff National Championship with a weekend concert event titled CMT Ultimate Kickoff Party Live From the College Football Playoff National Championship. Toby Keith and Lady Antebellum will serve as the headliners., and Big & Rich and Brett Eldredge are also scheduled to perform. The 90-minute TV special is set to air on CMT on Jan. 9 at 8 pm CST from the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. More artists are expected to be added to the lineup.
This year marks the first time there will be a college football playoff series to determine which teams will play in the national championship game, which will take place Monday, January 12th at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
