Justin Bieber and some of his friends are currently in trouble for allegedly damaging a neighbor’s house in Calabasas, California by throwing eggs at the residence.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department searched the pop star’s home Tuesday morning after obtaining a felony search warrant to see if there was evidence of egg-throwing. The detectives hoped to find video surveillance to find out what exactly happened.
“The houses in that neighborhood are of a quality that any damage is going to be extensive,” Lt. David Thompson stated, adding that the damage to the neighbor’s house amounted to around $20,000, which would make the crime a felony.
As a result of the incident, Bieber may find himself facing jail time. If he is found guilty of the crime, he will have committed a felony, making deportation a possibility. Since he is not a U.S. citizen, Bieber could have his visa revoked and be deported back to Canada .
At this time, law enforcement has not revealed what evidence they found in Bieber’s house. However, his friend rapper Lil Za was arrested during the police’s search in Bieber’s home for illegal drug possession of cocaine. Lil Za, whose real name is Xavier Smith, also received a charge for felony vandalism after allegedly damaging a phone in a jail booking cell. He was later released on bail Tuesday evening.
The “Boyfriend” singer has a history of not getting along with his neighbors. They have complained about him hosting all-night parties and for speeding throughout the community. One resident even complained of Bieber spitting on him during a heated argument.
Bieber’s representatives have yet to comment on the egg incident.
