Britney Spears’ New Album Is Worst Debut Yet

Britney Spear’s eighth studio album Britney Jean opened at #4 on the Billboard 200 chart, resulting in the album being the pop stars biggest flop to date.

As of Tuesday December 10^th, the will.i.am produced album has sold roughly 108,461 units. The number of units sold isn’t only a drastic drop from the 115k-125k that was initially predicted, but also marks the least number of albums sold in the first week of a release in Spears’ entire career.

Since the album debuted at #4, Spears is statistically more likely to slip further down the chart next week than up.  Hopefully, the music video release for her new single “Perfume” and her upcoming Las Vegas shows will be a big enough push to help her gain some much need sales.
