Due to contract obligations, pop star Britney Spears is to remain under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears, during her Las Vegas residency.
Since Spears singed a two year contract for a concert residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, part of the legal agreement with Planet Hollywood’s parent company, Caesars Entertainment, states that Jamie along with a team of lawyers are required to keep control of the stars finances as well as other aspects of her life.
Sources have stated that if Britney’s conservatorship ends, Caesar Entertainment has the right to cancel her 100 show concert deal.
Spear’s father was initially granted a conservatorship over his daughter back in 2008 after she had a public meltdown that put her in 5101 involuntary psychiatric hold.
Britney Spears: Piece of Me opens on December 27.
