Country singer and songwriter Brad Paisley may fill one of those vacant chairs at the judges table on American Idol. According to Deadline.com, Fox is seriously considering adding him to the show.
If his tour wraps as scheduled he would technically be free at the start of next year and would have time for auditions during his free days.
Deadline pointed out that adding a country veteran to the panel makes sense given the fact that several “Idol” alums paved their way via country music, including Carrie Underwood, Scotty McCreery, Kellie Pickler and Lauren Alaina. Paisley has performed on the show and has worked with ‘Idol’ alums outside of the singing competition. He and Underwood have co-hosted the CMA Awards for four years and topped the country charts with their duet “Remind Me.” In addition, Paisley invited McCreery to join him on tour.
