Country superstar Blake Shelton raised more than $6 million for those affected by the devastating tornado that hit Oklahoma City earlier this month. The Oklahoma native organized and planned the sold-out Healing in the Heartland concert that took place May 29 at the 14,000 capacity Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.
Along with Shelton the concert featured performances from Usher, Vince Gill, Reba McEntire, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder
All proceeds from tickets sells, as well as pledges, will be going to the United Way of Central Oklahoma, which will be distributed to agencies providing aid to the victims of the disastrous tornado.
