Houston’s own Beyonce will perform at halftime during Super Bowl XLVII. Although her publicist will most likely not officially announce the news until Wednesday, a source confirmed to the Associated Press that she will perform at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans on February 3, 2013.
There is no word on whether anyone may join her on stage but early reports suggest her husband Jay-Z and fellow Destiny Child members Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland as top prospects.
This will not be the first time Beyonce has sung during America’s biggest football game of the year. In 2004 Beyonce sung the national anthem before Super Bowl XXXVIII in her native Houston, TX.
Some of her hits she is expected to perform include “Crazy in Love,” “Irreplaceable” and “Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).”
