Backstreet’s back with a new album and movie on the way!
Backstreet singer Nick Carter announced that the group’s new album is 90 percent done. Carter mentioned that the upcoming album will be a “smash” since the band is collaborating again with mega-hit maker Max Martin, who produced the boy band’s hits including “I Want It That Way,” “Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)” and “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”
Martin has a history of amazing hits. His discography includes Robyn’s “Show Me Love,” NSYNC’s “I Want You Back” and “It’s Tearing Up My Heart,” Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time” and “(You Drive Me) Crazy,” and Kelly Clarkson’s “Since U Been Gone” and “Behind These Hazel Eyes.” Most recently Martin produced Taylor Swift’s “22,” “I Knew You Were Trouble” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”
While the group is busy working on their eighth studio album a documentary based on the group’s exploits is being filmed.
“We always wanted to make a film and now is the ideal time. With Kevin back, the fact that we are masters of our own destiny, a new album in the works and our 20th anniversary — it all adds up to being the right time to share our story,” the group announced in a statement.
Expect Backstreet Boys: The Movie and their upcoming studio album to be released this fall.
