2 Chainz and Drake have made history on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart this week. Their hit “No Lie” is No. 1 on the chart, replacing 2 Chainz’s own song”Mercy,” a song featuring him and his G.O.O.D. Music family, as the top spot.
It is the second time this year that an artist has replaced a No. 1 song with their own, the last being Drake. His anthem “The Motto” (Featuring Lil Wayne) knocked his own song “Make Me Proud” (featuring Nicki Minaj) from the top spot last February.
Drake has only been in the rap game for three years but this is already his tenth No. 1 single on the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Thanks to “No Lie,” the 25-year-old rapper has eclipsed Jay-Z‘s record for the most No. 1 singles in the chart’s history.
Here’s the list of the rappers with the most No. 1s in the history of Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart:
Drake – 10
Jay-Z – 9
Lil Wayne – 8
Kanye West – 6
50 Cent – 4
Ludacris – 4
