Zachary Quinto has spilled the beans on Star Trek 3. The actor, who plays Mr. Spock in the sci-fi franchise, suggested that a third Star Trek film could be in production as early as next year.
“Star Trek 3 should be filming, I suppose, next year. It’s going to be made a lot quicker than the last one. That’s the plan, although nothing is confirmed yet,” Quinto said about the upcoming film.
Quinto also suggested that director J.J. Abrams is likely to return for the third Star Trek film despite his commitment to Star Wars: Episode VII.
Paramount Pictures has yet to comment about any of the film’s production details.
