Will Smith’s ‘Bad Boys 3’ Set To Release In 2018

The release date for Sony’s Bad Boys 3, officially titled Bad Boys For Life, has been pushed back to 2018.

The name of the film references the scene in Bad Boys II (2003) where Will Smith tells his cop partner Martin Lawrence, “We ride together, we die together. Bad boys for life.” The original buddy-cop action comedy first debuted in 1995 – which launched Smith’s film career. The franchise has grossed more than $400 million worldwide.

Directing the film is Joe Carnahan, taking over for Michael Bay, who helmed the previous two installments. Jerry Bruckheimer returns as producer, with plot details still undisclosed.

Bad Boys For Life debuts January 12th, 2018.
