In the post credits scene of Sony Pictures release, the four ladies (who just finished saving New York City and those who inhabit it) and are shown hanging around in their new HQ, messing with some gadgets.
While listening to some audiotapes, Jone’s character (Patty Tolan) suddenly looks up and asks, “What is Zuul?” The other three Ghostbusters give a collective shrug, having never heard of the name before.
Zuul (also known as “The Gatekeeper”) – for those who may not know – is the main villain from Ivan Reitman’s original 1984 Ghostbusters movie, who possessed Sigourney Weaver’s character before taking on the form of a Terror Dog.
Zuul is a demigod and minion of Gozer, The Destructor, alongside Vinz Clortho the Keymaster.
