After the trailer for Zoolander 2 was leaked a few days ago and shortly taken down, Paramount Pictures posted the official trailer for the film Sunday.
The teaser features a voiceover and illustrates a history of the universe before heading to Derek Zoolander’s brain, which is shown to be full of things such as hairdryers, Frappucinos,“eugoogly,” and No Left Turn signs.
“If God exists, then why did he make ugly people?” Zoolander asks in the clip. He also appears confused by the title of the sequel.
The sequel, which will hit theaters in 2016, is coming fifteen years after the first film Zoolander. The 2001 comedy film centered on Ben Stiller as an unintelligent male model named Derek Zoolander who becomes involved in a plot to assassinate the Prime Minister of Malaysia. The new film will feature Stiller reprising his role in addition to Owen Wilson, Will Ferrell, and Christine Taylor. Other stars in the film include Kristen Wiig, Penelope Cruz, Fred Armisen, Olivia Munn, and Cyrus Arnold. Justin Bieber and Willie Nelson will also make cameo appearances.
Stiller will direct the film, which was penned by Justin Theroux. Zoolander 2 is scheduled to hit theaters February 12, 2016.
