The first Wonder Woman trailer has been released!
At Saturday’s San Diego Comic-Con, Gal Gadot (who plays the title character), co-star Chris Pine and director Patty Jenkins revealed the footage during Warner Bros’ presentation.
Wonder Woman follows Princess Diana of Themyscira as she joins the fight for global peace during World War I.
In the opening of the clip, the female warrior is shown asking Pine’s character (fighter pilot Steve Trevor), who has washed up ashore, “You’re a man?” – having never seen the opposite sex before. The action filled trailer concludes with Diana meeting Trevor’s secretary, in which she asks what a secretary is and responds, “Well, where I’m from, that’s called slavery.”

Gadot explained, “I wanted to portray this character in a way that everyone could relate too. Not only girls, not only boys, but men and women too.”
Jenkins added during the panel, “The world needs love and forgiveness in such a huge way. It’s not about who’s right anymore. We need heroes who are strong enough to be loving and forgiving… That’s what wonder woman in particular stands for.”
Wonder Woman is set to release on June 2nd, 2017.
