Watch: ‘Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ Full Trailer
The first full-length trailer for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 has been released!
The sequel, directed by Francis Lawrence, picks up where last year’s Catching Fire left off with Katniss Everdeen now the symbol of a mass rebellion.
In the extended clip, Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) prepares to lead the rebels against the corrupt and tyrannical government, The Capitol. She later learns that Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) is in fact alive, though now the Capitol’s weapon of propaganda.
Alongside Lawrence and Hutcherson, the film stars Liam Hemsworth, Donald Sutherland, Elizabeth Banks, Julianne Moore and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.
The first adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ third book, Mockingjay – Part 1, is set to premiere later this year on November 21st. The final installment of the Hunger Games franchise, Mockingjay – Part 2, will hit theaters almost a year later on November 20, 2015.
