Watch: ‘Alien: Covenant’ Prologue ‘Last Supper’

Not to be confused with that other “last supper”, 20th Century Fox has dropped a viral video bombshell as it relates to the forthcoming summer release Alien: Covenant.

This five-minute video directed by Luke Scott (Morgan), son of Ridley Scott, serves as an official prologue by introducing the Covenant space crew as they gather for a final meal before jettisoning off into cryosleep. The colonization ship is on its way to a remote planet to form a new human settlement. What looks to be a uncharted paradise when they awaken turns out to be much darker and dangerous than expected.

Michael Fassbender returns as David (Prometheus) and is joined by Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride, Demián Bichir, Carmen Ejogo, Amy Seimetz, and Jussie Smollett. Alien: Covenant is expected to make audiences “RUN” to theaters when it opens on May 19, 2017.
